THE salaries paid to some bosses of academy chains are “verging on criminality,” a teaching union official said today.
New NASUWT president Phil Kemp criticised the “Wild West” school system in England, where education was “too often” in the hands of a small group of academy chain chief executives.
In a speech to the union’s virtual annual conference, Mr Kemp hit out at the “huge salaries” of these executives, which he says have “little if no impact on student progress.”
