Scottish Labour is ‘election-ready,’ Sarwar says after naming new front-bench team
Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar speaking on the first day of the Scottish Labour Party Conference at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh, March 3, 2023

SCOTTISH Labour is “election-ready,” party leader Anas Sarwar said today after naming his new front-bench team.

The reshuffle itself brings little change, with only three changes to the overall line-up, reflecting Mr Sarwar’s limited options when filling 18 roles from 22 MSPs.

Paul O’Kane has been appointed shadow cabinet secretary for social security, social justice and equalities, while Rhoda Grant keeps her rural affairs brief but moves from spokeswoman to the shadow cabinet.
