Strike action ends with £4K pay hike for parking officers in Hounslow

STRIKING outsourced parking officers in west London have won a whopping £4,000 pay hike, their union Unite has announced.

The Hounslow-based workers, who launched indefinite walkouts earlier this month, will see their annual wages soar to £28,730 by November, the union said on Wednesday.

It confirmed that further industrial action has now been called off after staff voted to accept an offer from contractor Serco worth about 18 per cent in total.
