Three police officers found guilty of misconduct over slew of derogatory messages about colleagues and refugees

THREE police officers who exchanged a series of derogatory messages about female colleagues and refugees have resigned, Merseyside police have confirmed.

Bradley Johnson, Thomas Taylor and Conor O’Hare exchanged 252 derogatory messages about female colleagues which were sexualised in nature, as well as racist messages about refugees, in a Whatsapp chat called Magaluf.

In one exchange, the officers said they wanted to take a “threesome pic” with refugees on a trip to Krakow.

“Promise them a green card, s*** them, then fly back home,” one of the officers said.

In another conversation, the officers discussed drink driving and taking cocaine.

After finding the officers guilty of gross misconduct at a hearing on Tuesday, Chief Constable Kennedy said the messages showed “a complete lack of courtesy and respect to their colleagues, who considered them to be good colleagues.”

The three officers will now be placed on the College of Policing Barred list, prohibiting them from holding any job in policing in Britain.
