TSSA pleased about pay offer

TRANSPORT union TSSA today gained a real-terms pay rise for its members working in admin roles on London Underground (LU).

The union accepted LU’s revised offer of 0.2 per cent above inflation for four consecutive years, with the first backdated to April 2019,.

The deal is the result of negotiations with the company through conciliation service Acas, dating back to last February.

TSSA organising director Lorraine Ward said: “I’m pleased that after many months of little or no progress we have been able to reach a deal which is good for our members.

“Our members have been frustrated over the length of time it has taken to achieve a reasonable pay offer, whilst overstretched and under-resourced working on frontline stations.

“They now know that they can get on with the most important job of keeping London Underground running safely day in day out — and do so with a fair pay deal.”
