UNIVERSITY staff and ambulance workers staged more strikes today as a massive wave of industrial unrest over pay, staffing and jobs continued.
Tens of thousands of University and College Union (UCU) and Unison lecturers, support workers and other higher education staff continued intermittent walkouts across Britain, despite an announcement of fresh talks with employers next week.
And about 15,000 Unison ambulance workers in five trusts across England downed tools, as officials warned of escalating action in the coming weeks unless Tory ministers act.
