Usdaw action secures U-turn on shift payments for Weetabix workers

THE prospect of further strike action by Usdaw union members making Weetabix cereal bars in Kettering has been lifted after the company reinstated a 27.5 per cent shift premium.

After staging a 24-hour walkout, members voted overwhelmingly to accept a new offer from the company, which has been embroiled in disputes on two fronts.

Usdaw area organiser Ed Leach said: “We are pleased to have come to a resolution after the company finally moved on the issue and reinstated the 27.5 per cent shift-pay premium.
