Workers at South London & Maudsley Trust to escalate action after talks with ISS break down

OUTSOURCED staff across a south London hospital trust are set to strike again over poverty pay this week after talks with bosses broke down, their union GMB said today.

Cleaners and caterers employed by contractor ISS at the South London & Maudsley Trust are due to down tools for four days from tomorrow after being “robbed blind for years,” the health union charged.

The dispute, which has already seen the staff walk out for two days, comes after GMB accused the facilities management giant of “plunging the workforce into poverty” by not passing on contractually owed wage increases.
