MANCHESTER UNITED defender Eric Bailly is facing an extended spell on the sidelines, manager Jose Mourinho said yesterday.

The Ivorian, who joined the Red Devils from Villarreal for a reported £30 million in the summer of 2016, hasn’t appeared for the club since the beginning of November away to Chelsea.

Since then Bailly has missed eight matches due to an injury that is believed to have been picked up on international duty in a game against Mali.
