BRITISH GAS workers are demanding the company reinvests in its workforce after it announced bumper multi-million pound profits today.

Parent company Centrica said British Gas Energy profits jumped by 44 per cent to £118 million in 2021.

Centrica said it was helped by households using more gas in the first six months of the year due to unusually cold weather.
