SHIPYARD workers on the Clyde in Glasgow have called off their strike action after winning pay rises of up to 22.8 per cent.

More than 30 members of union Unite are employed by CBL Cable Contractors working on a new navy frigate.

Workers including electricians, labourers and cable hands voted to strike throughout January, February and March in a pay dispute, but employers returned with a new pay proposal.
