Donald Trump warned to back off over bid to gain exclusive US access to potential Covid-19 vaccine

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has been warned to back off after he offered large sums of cash to a German pharmaceutical company for exclusive access to a coronavirus vaccine.

The German press reported on Sunday that Washington wanted to gain exclusive access to the work of the CureVac company to secure a vaccine against Covd-19, “but for the US only.”

German Health Minister Jens Spahn told the US government that a takeover of CureVac was “off the table” and that any vaccine developed would be “for the whole world, not individual countries.”
