ST ANDREW’S DAY is an auspicious date in the calendar, especially so this year as Glasgow’s Lord Provost, Philip Braat, hosts a civic reception to mark the 50th anniversary of the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders work-in.
While many of the those who led and supported that heroic struggle are no longer with us, happily some remain, and we are pleased to be honouring and recognising them at the City Chambers today.
