Johnny Clegg, the ‘White Zulu’: June 7 1953 – July 16 2019
PETER FROST salutes a South African national hero with a worldwide following who used his music to oppose apartheid, racism and segregation
Johnny Clegg

BRITISH-BORN singer-songwriter Johnny Clegg was known throughout South Africa as the “White Zulu.”

The dedicated fighter against the obscene apartheid regime has died of pancreatic cancer aged 66.
