FRANCIS COQUELIN agreed to join La Liga side Valencia yesterday on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a fee of £12 million.
The midfielder signed for Arsenal from French side Laval in 2008 and has made 160 first-team appearances for the club since then.
Coquelin was presented to Valencia fans yesterday afternoon.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger spoke after their League Cup goalless draw with Chelsea on Tuesday and confirmed he was leaving.
“He goes to Valencia, he didn’t get enough games with us this season.”
