SNP spent £14m on Scottish government credit cards over three years, Scottish Labour finds

A STAGGERING £14 million was spent in 58,751 purchases on Scottish government credit cards over just three years, new data obtained by Scottish Labour has found.

Almost £10,000 was spent on VIP airport upgrades for the former first minister Nicola Sturgeon and her staff, and book buys included six copies of a book of her speeches, and 21 copies of How To Run A Government So That Citizens Benefit And Taxpayers Don’t Go Crazy.

Other purchases included a £27 “homedisco” from eBay, £272 on “wellington boots for inspections,” a driving theory test, as well as yoga classes, nail polish and £4,182 in hospitality at the five-star Gleneagles Hotel.
