Warrington and Halton hospital workers strike to demand higher pay grade
Warrington hospital health workers on the picket line, September 28, 2023

HEALTHCARE assistants working for Warrington and Halton Hospitals Trust began a 48-hour strike today.

Staff are demanding to be moved to a different pay band after years of being required to undertake clinical tasks that lie outside their normal responsibilities.

The problem has forced Kathy, who has worked at the trust for 31 years, to go on strike for the first time.
