Hundreds of outsourced workers to strike against low pay and exploitation at Barts NHS Trust

HUNDREDS of NHS workers employed by outsourcing giant Serco in London will strike next month in a united front against low pay and exploitation.
Their union Unite confirmed today that 97 per cent of Barts Health Trust cleaners, porters and other ancillary workers at the Royal London Hospital, Whipps Cross and St Barts supported the strike action following an “insulting” 1 per cent pay rise offer from Serco.
The paltry offer comes despite the company reporting a turnover of £3.9 billion last year, Unite pointed out.
