ISIS has this month carried out its deadliest attacks in more than a year, killing dozens of civilians and security officers in the deserts of central Syria, it was revealed today.

The bloodshed came as people in northern Syria were reeling from the devastating earthquake on February 6.

Isis sleeper cells continue to terrorise populations in Syria nearly four years since the group was officially defeated in the country.
