JIHADIST rebels agreed to surrender the entire al-Lajat region of north-east Dara’a to the Syrian army (SAA) today after suffering several setbacks over the weekend.
According to a military source in the government stronghold of Izra’a, the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) jihadists and their Free Syrian Army allies agreed to surrender the more than 20 towns they controlled in the region.
The source added that many rebels will remain in Al-Lajat to settle their cases with the Syrian government, while the rest will relocate to south-east Dara’a.
