Kinsky gets dream start on his Tottenham debut
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky during the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, January 8, 2025

NEW Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky confessed his debut in a 1-0 League Cup victory over Liverpool was beyond his wildest dreams.

Kinsky only completed a permanent transfer to Spurs on Sunday from Slavia Prague, yet was handed a high-profile debut by Ange Postecoglou on Wednesday and starred to give his new club a slender semi-final first-leg advantage.

The 21-year-old made two key saves to deny Liverpool substitute Darwin Nunez in the second half, either side of Lucas Bergvall’s 86th-minute winner, before he embraced his sister in the stand at full-time after Tottenham held on for a precious triumph.
