Fulham unfortunate not to get something from Scott Parker's first game in charge

SCOTT PARKER, Fulham’s third manager of this tumultuous season, saw his charges defeated by Chelsea at Craven Cottage in his first game as boss.

First-half goals from former Napoli colleagues Gonzalo Higuain and Jorginho either side of Calum Chambers’s equaliser saw Chelsea keep up the pressure in the battle for a Champions League spot.

Parker was pleased that Fulham stayed with their neighbours and looked much more coherent than the lost puppies bewildered under the bark of Claudio Ranieri, the short-lived Italian manager who failed to change their passing template to his preferred counter-attacking style.
