TEACHERS at a London college are to launch a second round of strike action against their bosses’ “fire and rehire” attack on pay and conditions.

Richmond-upon-Thames College staff walked out for five days on May 23 after a 97 per cent vote for strike action by members of the University and College Union (UCU).

UCU general secretary Jo Grady said: “Our members at Richmond-upon-Thames have voted unanimously to take further strike action in the dispute over disgraceful plans to fire and rehire 127 teachers.”
