SYRIA denounced Israel’s involvement in the weekend evacuation of White Helmet members to Jordan as a “criminal process” yesterday.
The Foreign Ministry said the “smuggling operation” revealed the role of Israel, the United States, Britain, Jordan, Germany and Canada in propping up a “terrorist group” that poses as a civil rescue force in areas of Syria held by jihadists and their imperialist-backed allies.
The overnight evacuation was co-ordinated to extract over 400 White Helmet members from Syria’s frontier with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, where they were besieged by Syrian troops.
