Teachers in Cardiff threaten legal action after private school allegedly uses agency staff during strike

TEACHERS in Wales threatened legal action today, alleging that a private school had used agency staff during strike action.

National Education Union Cymru claimed that as its members were on strike for the first day of two days of industrial action over pay at Cathedral School in Llandaff, Cardiff, the school had used agency staff to replace strikers.

NEU Cymru said it was considering legal action and said a High Court judgement last year confirmed that it is unlawful to use agency workers to cover those on strike.
