Teachers in Edinburgh refusing to work with violent pupils

TEACHERS in Edinburgh are having their pay deducted after refusing to work with “violent” pupils.

The NASUWT union accused Edinburgh council today of “bullying and intimidating” teachers at the Kaimes School by sending them home without pay for refusing to teach children who allegedly pose a threat to their welfare.

The 11 teachers at the special educational needs school say that eight pupils are a physical danger to them and that there is documented evidence of this.
