University and college workers preparing for more strike action, unions warn
UCU members on strike at the University of Kent

UNIVERSITY and college workers are preparing for more strike action, unions warned today, after bosses refused to budge on a below-inflation 3 per cent wage increase.

Five unions are in dispute over pay with the Universities and Colleges Employers’ Association (UCEA).

UCU, GMB, EIS, Unite and Unison have been told there will be no improvement in the wage-cutting proposal.
