Bolivia suspends electoral board member over OAS fraud leaks

BOLVIA’S Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) has suspended a member who leaked details of alleged irregularities in the October 2020 elections to the Organisation of American States (OAS).

Rosario Baptista was told of the action against her on Monday and is subject to “a disciplinary process and temporary suspension” as investigations into her conduct are carried out.

She is accused of a number of offences including “the possible commission of serious and very serious misconduct” and failing to deliver information that was requested of her.
