Shots fired in southern Lebanon as economic crisis deepens
SHOTS were fired in southern Lebanon on Saturday as people fought over the country’s dwindling fuel supplies with rumours spreading that they will run out in just a few days.
Big queues formed at petrol stations in Nabatieh, with attendants rationing supplies when fighting broke out.
Lebanon’s crisis is deepening as the impact of US-imposed sanctions targeted at neighbouring Syria continues to bite.
