NIGERIA: More than 300 Nigerian schoolboys kidnapped by Islamists last week have been returned safely to their families, it was reported on Thursday night.

Katsina Governor Aminu Bello Masari said that 344 children abducted from their school by Boko Haram militants had been turned over to security officials.

“I think we can say ... we have recovered most of the boys, if not all of them,” he said.
