Workers at homelessness charity Shelter accept ‘vastly improved’ pay offer following strike action
A LONG-RUNNING pay dispute at homelessness charity Shelter has ended after workers accepted a “vastly improved” pay offer.
More than 600 members of Unite took strike action last December over pay, which was followed by talks at conciliation service Acas.
The revised deal was for an increase in pay of 7 per cent, more than double the original offer of 3 per cent, said Unite.
