Red weather warning issued for extreme heat and humidity
CAMPAIGNERS called for more volunteers to help Jeremy Corbyn’s election bid today as polling puts him neck-and-neck with Labour in Islington North.
The former Labour leader has been the constituency’s MP since 1983 but was banned from standing as the party’s general election candidate.
A campaign source for Mr Corbyn said: “There is a real risk of the Labour candidate sneaking a victory if supporters stay at home on the assumption that Jeremy can win without them.”
