Spineless Sunak's failure to sack Braverman emboldens fascists on Armistice Day, campaigners say

RISHI SUNAK’S humiliating failure to sack Suella Braverman has emboldened fascists to attack protesters calling for a Gaza ceasefire on Armistice Day, campaigners have warned.

The prime minister was branded spineless by Labour after he insisted he still had full confidence in his home secretary following her incendiary claims that police were “playing favourites” with pro-Palestinians.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt refused to back Ms Braverman today as Downing Street said it had not cleared her remarks, which were published in the Times on Wednesday.
