MORE than 1,100 Amazon workers will down tools across two fulfilment centres in Britain on the biggest day of industrial dispute in company history to mark one year of struggle.

The GMB union announced today strike dates at Amazon’s Rugeley centre on August 3 and 5, and Coventry centre on August 4 and 5 — bringing the total days lost to strike action at the company this year to 26.

The dates coincide with the anniversary of the first historic walkouts at Amazon in Britain after workers were offered a pay rise of just 35p.
