National Express strikes postponed following new pay offer
IMMINENT strikes by thousands of National Express workers across the West Midlands have been suspended following a new pay offer, Unite has announced.
The transport union confirmed on Monday evening that walkouts by more than 3,200 drivers and 200 engineers due for tomorrow will be postponed as members are balloted on the latest wage proposal.
But all-out indefinite strikes at the firm, which runs local bus services across the region, will begin next Monday if the deal is rejected, Unite warned.
