Ambulance strike in Wales called off as negotiations continue

HEALTH unions called off Monday’s planned ambulance strike in Wales over the weekend as talks with the Welsh government to resolve the dispute continue.

Unite Wales said it had suspended strike action following significant progress in talks with the Cardiff Bay administration.

GMB members in Wales have also agreed to suspend action for further talks with the ambulance trust and the Welsh government welcomed the suspension of the planned strike.
