Scottish Labour demands SNP take action on drug deaths

SCOTTISH Labour will today call for urgent action to reduce the numbers of people in Scotland suffering near-fatal overdoses and deaths from drugs.

The call for action comes after the Scottish ambulance service released figures under freedom of information laws.

The data showed more than 11,500 incidents since First Minister Nicola Sturgeon declared the drug-death crisis a public health emergency in September 2019.
