THIS fascinating and haunting documentary lifts the lid on the secret language of Nushu, used by oppressed Chinese women for thousands of years as a female support system, and which embodied the power of sisterhood.

The film follows two Chinese millennials who are connected by their love of Nushu and their determination to protect its legacy.
