Activists occupy British Museum in protest against the institution's links with fossil fuel giant BP
A MASS protest against oil firm BP at the British Museum has ended with an occupation of the building.
About 300 activists took part in the protest at the museum on Saturday organised by activist theatre group “BP or nor BP,” to persuade the flagship institution not to renew its links with the fossil fuel giant.
The protest, labelled Make BP History, included action which saw a huge 10-metre BP logo pulled apart in the Great Court before protesters occupied four different rooms in the museum for hours after closing.
