PROTESTING students who are occupying bosses’ offices at a central London university warn that they have been “violently manhandled” and threatened with legal action.
The demonstrators at Soas, University of London, who marked their sixth day of action today, accused management of responding to their “peaceful protest with violence and escalation,” including denying them access to food and toilet facilities.
They also slammed bosses for closing the entirety of the main building at the Bloomsbury campus, despite the protest, which began last Wednesday when office space unconnected to teaching was targeted, affecting the first floor only.
