Home number 3.9 million built in Venezuela as 2021 draws to a close

VENEZUELAN President Nicolas Maduro hailed the completion of the 3.9 millionth home today in a public housing drive started a decade ago.

“We have managed to decommodify housing and turn it into a human right and not a commodity,” he said as the Bolivarian nation ended 2021 on a high.

The Great Housing Mission was started in 2011 under Mr Maduro’s predecessor, the late Hugo Chavez.
