Erdogan under pressure to resign as Turkey’s economy collapses

TURKEY’S deepening economic crisis led to calls for the government to resign today.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Mithat Sancar called on other parties to join them in tabling a motion calling for an immediate general election should President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s regime refuse to stand down.

“Our agenda is clear. We have evaluated the collapse that we have all been witnessing since today.
