UNFLINCHING campaigners once against took to the streets today to demand an end to the “dysfunctional” privately run test-and-trace system on the anniversary of the scheme’s launch.
NHS test and trace has been allocated a budget of £37 billion to the system, which is run by outsourcing giant Serco, but campaigners have criticised the service for failing to deliver.
Campaigners are calling for the system to be handed over to public health teams, the NHS and local authorities instead.
