WORKERS at Sheffield University students’ union have won a victory against zero-hours contracts and secured a deal on sick pay after a year-long campaign.
The students’ union employs about 300 workers to run services for 29,000 students, including working in bars, cafes and shops.
Most of the workers are members of union Unite and are students themselves.
