UNITED STATES: Unemployment could rocket to as high as 32.1 per cent, economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis warned on Tuesday.
They estimated that around 47 million jobs could be lost in the US as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the peak of the Great Recession, US unemployment reached a high of 25 per cent.
