Steve Turner launches bid for Unite leadership with ‘Charter for Change’

STEVE TURNER launched his bid for the leadership of Unite today with a plan to make the union “win for all.”

The former bus worker and current Unite assistant general secretary said he wants to transform the way the union supports its members after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr Turner said he would put power into the hands of the union’s regions and shop stewards so that they can “[take] the fight to bad bosses exploiting the pandemic to cut pay and jobs.”
