France rejects UN probe finding it killed 19 civilians in Mali wedding bombing raid
FRANCE has rejected a United Nations investigation that found its air force bombed a wedding in Mali on January 3, killing 19 civilians.
The UN’s mission in the north African country said more than 100 people had attended the wedding in Bounti, including five members of a suspected al-Qaida-linked organisation.
French bombers targeted the gathering, killing three of the five suspects as well as 19 others, it said.
