Students launch fresh campaign to cancel rent before face-to-face teaching resumes

STUDENT tenants in Scotland launched a fresh campaign today demanding a cancellation of rent until face-to-face teaching resumes.

The Union of Scottish Student Tenant Unions (USSTU) announced its Listen to Students: Cancel Rent campaign to demand that universities, landlords and the government stop trying to pass the buck.

A survey by the National Union of Students (NUS) earlier this week found almost three-quarters of students are concerned about managing financially during the pandemic.
