All university lessons and support in Scotland should be provided remotely, unions demand

ALL learning and student support at Scottish universities should be provided remotely until the end of the current term to protect students and staff, unions have warned.

Representatives from the University and College Union (UCU) and National Union of Students (NUS) have both urged the Scottish government to announce the move immediately.

Higher Education Minister Richard Lochhead wrote to principals earlier this week to say that all efforts must be made to provide as much online learning as possible.
