TEACHING union officials have called on the Scottish government to review education guidelines amid a surge in coronavirus cases among pupils.

Representatives from NASUWT have expressed concerns that the rising numbers of Covid-19 cases are putting teachers at risk across the country.

Positive cases are increasing among 12 to 17-year-olds, potentially increasing the risk to teachers, education staff and the wider community unless further measures are introduced.
